Off to MacWorld...

Bert and I are catching a plane now for San Francisco's MacWorld. I'm the proud owner of a new iMac G5, so it's the first time I won't be taking my computer with me! I'm currently laptop-less, with my Powerbook G4 going to "I switched to a PC" Skyler.

Without my computer, I don't know how much I'll be able to post to this blog, but I'll be back on Friday.

I always try to find--and buy--at least one surprising thing at MacWorld. Last year I came home with Scratch TV, one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. It's a midi-encoded "record" that you use to do turntable scratching of digital video. And since it's midi, you can use it to control anything that's been adapted to respond to midi messages--lights, instruments, whatever. The brochure says, "Be the first on your block to scratch a robot."

Stay tuned...

Will the blog suffer your absence?
